Platform Lighting Rewire completed by Simon Dean for Network Rail.

Challenged with limited space on the platform we engineered an innovative method to renew the ducting allowing us to rewire the lighting legs and a new supply from the station building.

Utilising our Hilti DD350 core drilling rig we drilled horizontally from the track into the platform towards the existing column making an excavation near the column to allow the flexi-duct to be ran into the column to allow the cables to be drawn in.

The works work were completed out of hours under by our Personal Trackside Safety (PTS) trained engineers under possession and isolation of the track.

Our Civils and Electrical team worked succinctly to deliver this project over short duration of nights ready to hand back to the client, tested, certified and fully functional.

Work Package Plan (WPP) and Task Brief Sheet (TBS) documents produced by Simon Dean submitted to Network Rail and Merseyrail for approval and acceptance to complete this platform lighting rewire.
